What is CBD Cream?

CBD is the abbreviated name of Cannabidiol, a chemical found in the Cannabis plant.

Creams that contain CBD as the active ingredient are not mind-altering or psychoactive -- the quality of being "high" that is associated with another Cannabis-derived chemical called THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Legal limits allow no more than 0.3% of THC when CBD is derived from the Hemp (Cannabis sativa) plant. The use of CBD during massage can enhance the feeling of relaxation, as well as the rejuvenating effects of the massage.

How does it work?

CBD cream and oil is a way to use cannabidiol as a topical application to the skin.

The effects of CBD cream can be noticed very quickly (as compared to ingestion/inhalation), but they are only localized to the areas of the skin that absorb it. CBD cream can help relieve pain, inflammation, soreness, and tightness in specific parts of the body.

CBD itself is safe and well tolerated, and it has no risks of abuse or dependence, according to the World Health Organization.
